A 12-BORE 'ROYAL' SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 23361,
30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2017), the rib with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with an elaborate cartouche engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', brushed and reblued finish overall, 16 1/4in. (likely historic replacement) stock, weight 7lb., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in December 1903 for a Pennington. That name is then overwritten with 'Steel 1915'
