LONDON.', matted sight rib with open sights and four folding leaf sights, marked for 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, receiver (with thumb cutout) mounted with a Zeiss Diavari-Z 1,5...6x42 T* telescopic sight, serial no. 1681951, in later fitted quickly-detachable mounts, forward mount roughly stamped 'cal. 300 HH', matt top receiver ring, sidewall originally tapped for a side mount (filled), hollow bolt knob with chequered panels, recoil blocks, hinged straddle floorplate with push button release, figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling eyes, horn finial, 14 1/4in. pull including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 8lb. 1oz. (unscoped) and 9lb. 8oz. (with scope) in a full length Brady canvas case with Holland & Holland trade label
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed in 1927 for Von Lengerke, as a .30 Super magazine sporting rifle
