BSA, BIRMINGHAM
A BOXED .22 BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE MODEL 'MERCURY 'MKII', serial no. ZB29820
manufactured between 1974-78, with stove-enamelled 18 1/2in. barrel, plastic ramp fore-sight with tunnel protector (included but never fitted), plastic adjustable rear-sight, stove-enamelled air-chamber with model name washed in gilt fill between the machined telescopic sight rails, black enamel-finished trigger unit, plain pale beech half-stock, ventilated rubber recoil pad and one-piece cocking-link, the whole in unused condition in it's maker's white card carton with polystyrene inner tray and targets (other supplied accessories absent)

Other Notes: Important Note: This and the following three lots (108-110) represent a rare opportunity for collectors to buy unused BSA air-rifles from the late 1970's to early 1980's. Prospective buyers should be aware that none of these mention lots have been cocked or tested and BSA guns from this period were notorious for the degrading and deterioration of washers. Buyers therefore should consider that they are buying history rather than function and performance
