BSA, BIRMINGHAM
A GOOD .177 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'LADIES' or LIGHT-PATTERN', serial no. L37689,
for 1931, with blued 17in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating notch rear-sight, loading tap at breech, the plain air-chamber etched with 'THE BSA STANDARD AIR RIFLE .177 BORE (No1), THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO LTD ENGLAND, SOLE MAKERS' together with 'PATENTED' and various countries patent numbers and dates (all bright and legible), chequered walnut saw-handled butt-stock, the top of wrist factory inlet with a folding adjustable aperture sight, ribbed end to butt, guarded trigger and push-button release to the underlever, the whole retaining the majority of its original factory finish throughout
